Government announces approval of the Praia d'Aguada ship after tests and inspection.
The Ministry of Tourism and Transport announced this Monday, the 29th, that the ship Praia d'Aguada successfully completed sea trials and the inspection carried out by the Maritime and Port Institute (IMP).
According to the Government, the vessel's certification and the start of its operation are imminent, representing an important step towards strengthening the national maritime transport system.
With the opening of Praia de Aguada, the islands of Fogo, Brava, and Maio will have new alternatives for transporting cargo and passengers, contributing to improved inter-island connectivity and strengthening territorial cohesion.
This initiative is part of the Government's strategy to modernize and diversify maritime transport, promoting greater efficiency, safety and regularity in connections between the islands.
